Orange

Any time Isaac sees something orange, he yells out, “orange!” It is the first time I have really seen how someone could love a color so much. Today he saw Zachy’s bright orange shirt in the laundry basket and requested to wear it. He wore it to the beach today, over his other clothes, and would not take it off. He ended up wearing it as somewhat of a toga, since it was so large and one arm slipped out of the neck of the shirt.

Other than that, this weekend we spent more time outside. Yesterday, on Saturday, we walked around our neighborhood while Zachy rode his bike. Isaac stopped to look at rocks, as he loves to do. I think he was hoping to find some painted ones, as he has so many times before, but didn’t this time. The playground has been closed again after about a week of being open.

Later that night, we went to a different, more inconspicuous playground up on a hill. It was also closed, but as the kids played with several other kids also there, there was less of a feeling that someone was going to call the Parks Dept to complain.

Today we went to the beach and ZAchy played in the water while Isaac played with his sand toys in the sand and did his best to stay as far away from the water as possible. He’s not so much a fan right now. Then they both found a whole they could play inside and dig.

When we got home, we rested. I took Isaac on a drive to La Jolla which he thought was something of a roller coaster, screaming “wee!”

Zachy has been playing BrainBot and continuously winning, making sure he is far ahead of my winning count.

We went to the pool and both kids had a lot of fun. Then it was dinner time which Jonathan cooked which was so nice. We cleaned and watched a movie. I read Isaac some books and now he is sleeping. I love these kids and can’t get enough of them
